Carlos A. V. Guerrero received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), Guayaquil, Equator, in 2009, and his M.Sc. and D.Sc. degree from the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI), Itajubá, Brazil, in 2011 and 2017, respectively. He worked as a technician in the Substation Construction and Maintenance Departments of the National Electricity Transmission Company of Equator, from 2005 to 2009. In 2016, he was a visiting professor at ESPOL. He is currently an Associate Professor and researcher of the Center for Power Quality and Electrical Protection Studies (QMAP) with UNIFEI.

His interest are power system analysis, protection, control, and automation.
